Teamwork
“Aim for the moon & more”
These were the words said by Indian Prime Minister #Modi, celebrating the historic moment of #chandrayaan3 soft landing on the lunar surface, making India the first country to probe the Moon’s South Pole.
While this is a massive victory for India and indeed the world; as a coach I can’t help but see how this is also a win for #teamwork, of a never-say-die #spirit and a staunch, single minded #commitment to staying #persistent with your #purpose.
Let’s take a quick look at the #facts:
After the partial failure of Chandrayaan 2, the scientists took their time to develop their strategy, upgrade their own skills and pivot to a redesign that worked. It took years, with much inherent risk- but they never stopped #persisting.
The Chandrayaan 3 has become a global model for #financing and #budgeting– not only were they able to rectify their mistakes, but they were able to expand their #efficiency by working together.
Disciplined, patient #leadership was on display by Team #ISRO– for years.
The leaders mobilized the team to see through what they started with Chandrayaan 1, and inspired them to come this far.
All this makes me wonder- who exactly was #coaching this incredible team! Every single step they’ve taken to get here is worthy of applause.
As we celebrate, let’s also learn from the team- never give up on your purpose. If you aim for the moon, you WILL get it.
