Respecting Diversity through empathetic listening

Just yesterday somebody asked me how coaches can be trained to respect diversity and be inclusive in their approach?
My response was: “Listen to Understand”.
It’s about respecting the difference & #diversity at an individual level.

No two brains are the same. There are always going to be differences in individuals and by acknowledging & accepting it leads to #inclusion & a sense of #belonging.
#Empathetic Listening is, therefore, the foundational skill a coach must imbibe.  Empathetic listeners usually go beyond just hearing the words – they listen for verbal cues, emotional & behavioural patterns along with energy shifts without any preconceived notions.

And this kind of listening works wonders with building #connection outside the coaching process as well.
